Introduction and Explanation
The “Just the Word of God” articles are simply compilations of Bible passages pertaining to specific topics. I could write about these topics, but I choose not to, for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that others have already written extensively on practically every Biblical topic, and I don’t believe in “reinventing the wheel.” And the second reason is that I don’t want to present to you my own thoughts, but the Thoughts and Words of God.
It would not be at all helpful for me to add to all the verbiage regarding any subject. I don’t have the power to change minds and hearts. But God does. And He changes hearts by His Word.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
So I chose to present you with a list of Bible verses about a subject. And I trust that if you will read them thoroughly, with an open heart that desires to know God, and with an open mind, you will come to know the truth.
Just three final notes; I am quoting from the King James Version unless otherwise noted. I will occasionally put a short note in parenthesis to clarify a verse.
